I’m Jake Pfleger, Owner & Director of CTRL Male Image, based in Gloucester, England.
I’ve been cutting hair ambitiously for the last 5 years, starting out at the start of lockdown and qualifying myself shortly after the 1 year period. I’m self-taught, having paid over £4000 in education and still educating myself to this day. I’ve worked in a handful of barbershops over the years with the end goal of having my own shop. Since achieving this goal I want to help others in my local area grow and to reach their potential as I have. With goals to bridge the gap of education between college and the shop standard, having links and being the first point of contact for everything educator-wise in Gloucester & Cheltenham College covering everything barbering. Fast forward to 2024 I now have my very own barbershop which I will have plans to grow into another barbershop and potentially an academy.
Over the years I’ve cut hair at Salon International on the DART Professional Furthermore progressing to not once but twice in two separate categories for the Josh OP Awards show, which includes Chair shot & Body of work. Following this, I’ve also achieved a Social Media Hair & Beauty Awards 2024 Finalist & a further finalists award in 2022.
